Overview:
Accelworx Pvt. Ltd. (Accelworx), headquartered in the United States with operating locations in India, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Solar Permit Engineer to join our team. As a Solar Permit Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the solar PV design engineering process, focusing on creating detailed and compliant permit plans for residential, commercial, industrial, and EVCS projects. This position requires a skilled engineer with strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for renewable energy.
In Focus:
As a Solar Permit Engineer at Accelworx, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless permitting of solar PV systems for projects ranging from 10 kW to 100 MW.
Your Responsibilities:
- Draft and Design:
- Utilize AutoCAD and other CAD-based platforms to draft and design solar PV systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and utility projects.
- Deliver comprehensive design packages for permitting, construction, and installation.
- Conceptualization:
- Conceptualize designs for solar rooftop, carport, ground mount systems (fixed tilt and single-axis tracking), and electric vehicle charging stations.
- Create site plans, equipment layouts, single-line diagrams, string sizing, schedules, bills of quantity, and more.
- Documentation:
- Establish and maintain an organized file system for drawings and other project documents.
- Maintain well-organized documents in AutoCAD, adhering to the company’s standards.
- Project Management:
- Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, particularly during end-of-month or specific high-volume days.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure client needs and internal deadlines are met.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers to ensure high-quality solar designs.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Electrical with a specialization in Electrical/Electronics.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant design experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or other CAD-based software platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
- Effective time management skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Exposure and knowledge of NEC and IBC codes.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
